Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 12, 2026

DataOps (“DataOps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-driven analytics platform that turns natural-language questions into live dashboards, charts, and reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use DataOps, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials, including information provided by third-party sign-in providers (such as Google) if you use them.

Workspace and team data. Workspace names, team member roles, and invitations you send or accept.

Connected data sources. When you connect a Postgres database, Google Sheet, or upload a file (such as a CSV), we store the connection details needed to query that source (for example, host, credentials, or an OAuth token) and, where applicable, cached copies of the data you choose to analyze.

Agent conversations and generated content. The questions you ask, the code and queries our agent generates and runs on your behalf, and the resulting charts, tables, summaries, and dashboards.

Usage data. Log data, device/browser information, and product usage metrics (such as which features you use and how often) that help us operate and improve the service.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and operate the DataOps platform.
  • To run your queries and generate analysis, charts, and dashboards in response to your requests.
  • To authenticate you, secure your account, and enforce workspace and team permissions.
  • To send transactional communications, such as team invitations and account notifications.
  • To monitor, debug, and improve the reliability and performance of the service.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. AI processing and code execution

DataOps uses large language models and a sandboxed code-execution environment to interpret your questions, write analysis code, and produce results. This means the content of your prompts, and the data needed to answer them, may be sent to our AI model providers and executed in an isolated sandbox for the duration of your session. We do not use your connected data to train third-party foundation models.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with:

  • Service providers who host our infrastructure, execute sandboxed code, store data, send email on our behalf, and provide the AI models that power the agent — bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • Your team. Data within a shared workspace (dashboards, reports, connections) is visible to other members of that workspace according to their role.
  • Legal and safety. If required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DataOps, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Data retention

We retain account, workspace, and dashboard data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. Deleting a dashboard, connection, or workspace removes the associated data and cached source content from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated execution environments for agent code — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw a connected data source or revoke a third-party OAuth grant at any time from your workspace settings. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly without them.

9. Children's privacy

DataOps is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date above or through other reasonable means.
